WORK IT OUT PHILIPPIANS 2:12-13
I don’t know if any of you have ever had the privilege of buying a new car. It seems like these days the only new car anyone can afford is a “new-to-them” car. Since that might be an unattainable goal for you, I want you to imagine it. We are g
etting close to Christmas and sometimes as a child we probably looked through a catalogue and imagined what it would be like to have some of those toys in there.
Imagine you have this nice car that is sparkling and has a great engine in it. It is great on the inside too. You have that new car smell and leather seats. You have the full on infotainment center and can go anywhere you want in this car.
However, imagine that it just sits under your garage and you never drive it. You have a great vehicle that is designed to be used and driven but you won’t drive it.
That’s how a lot of people are when it comes to living out their Christian walk. We have this enormous power within us in the Person of the Holy Spirit, but do we have lives that affected by Him?
Tonight we are going to look at the command we have in this passage to work out our salvation.
