AS WE WAIT .... PART 2

Last week we began to look at what we must be doing as we wait for the Lord to return for us. We talked about some things we should do for ourselves, but now we want to look at things we should be doing for others.

Jude didn’t want the church to sit idle and do nothing until Jesus came back for us. None of us knows when that might be.

I want you to imagine a scenario where you are stranded on an island. Our first instinct is to stay by the shore and wait for a boat to pass by. However, we don’t know how long that might be. We have to make shelter and set up camp. We have to find food and water. We have some essentials that we need to take care of because we don’t know when we will get off the island.

That’s a little how it is with us waiting for Christ. We don’t know when He will come for us, so we need to be doing some things while we wait.

Let’s take a look at one of the most important ones tonight. We are going to get a running start by looking at a few of the verses that we looked at last week, so turn to Jude 21.
