GUARD YOUR HEART PROVERBS 4:20-27
If you have pets, particularly dogs that live outside, you know that their is a type of pest that can really wreak havoc on your pet and even prove to be lethal. It’s called heart worms.
Your dog can handle fleas and ticks, though you don’t really want them either, but heart worms will kill an animal. They are contracted by the dog being bitten by mosquitoes and then the dog gets infected and can eventually die from it. So, to combat these pesky critters, you give your dog a heart worm medicine, usually once a month.
One of the major brands of heart worm pills to give your dog is called Heart Guard. Some of you may use it regularly. I thought about titling the message this morning after that pill, but it just didn’t sit right, so the message this morning is entitled Guard Your Heart.
We don’t have to worry about heart worms as humans, but we do have more sinister evil that plague our hearts. We have a sin-sick heart, something your pet never has to worry about.
The Bible constantly warns us to guard our heart. We must guard diligently what we allow in because whatever goes in will eventually come out. This morning we will take a look at what it takes to guard your heart.
