WHO IS THIS: JESUS THE CREATOR MATTHEW 8:23-27

If you were to go up to a random person and ask them, “Who is Jesus?” I think that you would be surprised the answers that you would get.

A lot of people these days would immediately categorize Jesus as a religious teacher for the mentally weak to follow. Others would say that Jesus was love but all of His followers have become hate-mongers. 

There are so many answers that people could give, but Thomas Aquinas summed it up the best by saying that Jesus has to be one of three people. He’s either a liar, a lunatic, or He’s Lord.

This morning, I hope we can help answer that question for you. That was the goal of Matthew’s gospel and why he chose through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit to put this account right here in his gospel.

Over the next few weeks, we are going to look at three different scenes that answer the question, “Who is this?”

This morning, I want you to see Jesus, the Creator. Let’s take a look at how we can know that by seeing what happened as the Disciples crossed over the Sea of Galilee.
