KEEPING COVENANT WITH GOD

I don’t know if any of you ever made a blood brother growing up. You are supposed to cut your fingers and mingle your blood together and that is a bond that can never be broken.

I don’t suggest that. I would suggest a pinky promise instead. You never know what disease you might get doing the blood brother thing. And what happens if your buddy cuts his finger off? I guess you can’t be blood brothers anymore!

Of course, I’m just kidding, but covenants were no laughing matter in the Old Testament and even the new. We serve a God that is a covenant keeping God.

Tonight, we are going to take a look at a covenant that the people made with God and see how it applies to you and me as well.
