GETTING THE PLAN TOGETHER NEHEMIAH 2:9-20

I’m not always good at details. I try to make sure I think of things, but inevitably I will miss some of the important details. That’s why I like going places that have a Walmart nearby. I know that I can get whatever I forgot. 

My wife is not like that. She systematically thinks through every detail and usually she’s the one that keeps us from having to make a hundred trips to the store for things that we’ve forgotten.

Tonight, we are going to look at what leadership looks like. Nehemiah was a planner. He thought things through. Now, if you are not that type of person, you can still be a leader, but one thing that good leaders do is to surround themselves with people that have strengths where they do not.

In our passage tonight, Nehemiah arrives in town and puts together a plan for the people of Israel. Let’s take a look at what happened as we turn in our Bibles to Nehemiah 2 and begin picking up the story in verse 9.
